This week, the General Services Administration (GSA) in Washington, D.C. released the federal government’s first guidelines for establishing “government-wide rules and clarifying federal law on working away from the office.” The new guidance comes as a result of lingering “confusion over rules and terms that kept telework from expanding at federal agencies…” according to a GovExec.com story on March 20th. Quoted in that same story, Stanley Kacamarczyk, Deputy Associate Adminstrator of the GSA’s Office of Real Property Management, said that, “…There are now no excuses for not setting up a robust telework program.”
These federal guidelines could not come at a more important time…
