How to fix noisy computer
Why my computer is noisy. Where the noise come from? Ok to know this just first try to find out the root cause of noise.
Open the casing and detect from where the noise is coming. The noise can come from the folloiwing parts of the computer.
1- Hard disk : If the noise is from hard disk then make sure the hard disk is firmly attached to the computer casing. Check the screws are tightly insserted. The computer must be on balance surface. If all above done and no remedy then consult the hardware technician.
2- Processor fan : This might be the cause, make sure the wires in side the computer does not in contact with the fan and fan is fixed properly. Changing the fan is the last choice.
3- Casing fan : Casing fan can also give noise if faulty or any object is touching. If faulty then replace it with new one.
4- Cd rom : Cd rom also do mal functioning if any small rigid particles go inside or the inside belt becomes old and may be due to other reason.
5- Floppy drive : Floppy drive also can make a bit noise if not working properly. Try to remove it and fix a new one after all it is among the cheapest part of the computer.
Above is the common noises in computer which a person can easily do by itself. Some times the noise is not from above parts it may be because the computer is not on the balance surface as i wrote above. If you put the cpu on table make sure the table it self is stable and does not have to and fro motion. If still there is noise then try to consult your computer vendor.
