Vianix announced today that it has executed an OEM License Agreement with ImageWare Systems, a leading developer of identity management solutions, providing biometric, secure credential and law enforcement technologies.

Virginia Beach, Virginia (PR- Vianix announced today that it has executed an OEM License Agreement with ImageWare Systems, a leading developer of identity management solutions, providing biometric, secure credential and law enforcement technologies. ImageWare selected Vianix’ MASC as their voice standard initially to enhance the Mediator Voice Biometric and Language Translation product lines. The overall Voice Biometrics market, with $80 million in licensing and application revenue in 2006, is predicted to grow to an $800 million industry by 2011.

The key to any secure environment is knowing exactly who is in it–and the most accurate identifiers are biometric in nature. The cornerstone of ImageWare’s biometric product line is its IWS™ Biometric Engine® which can perform multimodal searches using several types of biometrics. It can be used on a standalone basis or incorporated into a number of custom applications or other ImageWare identification and digital imaging solutions. Regardless of the application, all ImageWare biometric technologies are multi-biometric, meaning they are vendor-independent and support virtually any biometric hardware and algorithm.

ImageWare’s Mediator product line is targeted at Military and Law Enforcement applications where the combination of portability, security and functionality is valued at a premium. Vianix’ MASC technology was chosen for its unique voice processing suite of noise reduction and compression which enhances Mediator’s accuracy and performance in challenging acoustic environments.

Dr. Veeru Ramaswamy, Vianix’ Chief Technical Officer said, “We have been working closely with ImageWare for some time now to provide an effective solution to a difficult voice processing challenge. We are pleased to see the high impact of MASC on biometric and language translation.”

“Vianix provides technologies which enable increased quality and performance in support of mission critical collection, identification and reporting requirements in our Warfighter based tactical solutions and integrated capabilities. We are very excited to have the opportunity to work together with Vianix in providing enhanced and high quality voice and audio identification and translation accuracy to the end-user communities,” says Chuck AuBuchobn, Vice President of Business Development at ImageWare Systems Inc.
