Is Your Windows Registry Corrupted?
So your computer is constantly freezing up and running very slow. You have done some research and figured out that there is a problem with the registry. So now, you want to know how to clean your computer registry.
Before I answer the question of how to clean your computer registry, let me first examine how you should NOT clean it. You should not attempt to fix the registry on your own by hand unless you know an awful lot about computers, and even then, it is not really recommended. The reason is that the registry is a very delicate device, and it is very easy to make a mistake that could cause big problems. You could be forced to reinstall Windows, or worse, you might have to take your computer to a repair shop if a major mistake is made. I said earlier that you really need to be very advanced in your knowledge of computers in order to clean the registry on your own. Well, even the most seasoned computer users tend to shy away from doing registry repair themselves, because of all the mistakes that can easily be made.
Instead, you should opt for a professional registry cleaner. It takes all the guess work out of cleaning the registry because it will scan your system for errors, and then give you a report on the corrupted files that were found, letting you choose which ones you want to get rid of. It will also scan your system in the future to make sure the registry does not become corrupt again.
Is your Windows registry corrupted? If your computer is running slower than it used to, and if your PC takes forever to start up, chances are your registry files have been corrupted.
At this point in the game, you might be asking, what can I do? Well, in order to achieve a clean windows registry, you can do one of two things. You can either try to fix your corrupt registry yourself, or you can use a professional registry repair program to get your registry clean. I will talk about the second option at the bottom of this article.
This is a process that can take quite a bit of time, even if you know what you’re doing. And be sure that you do in fact know what you’re doing, since one simple mistake can cause major harm to your machine and force you to have to take your PC to an expensive computer repair shop. In this instance, there’s a good chance you’ll be without your computer for up to two weeks.
I vividly remember one time when I was concerned that I had a registry file that was in the wrong place on my computer. I decided to take matters into my own hands, and tried to move the file to its original spot. Once I did this, my computer would not boot again. Big mistake! Actually, many of the most advanced computer users still opt for a registry cleaner, since it’s so easy to make a major mistake.
