Things To Do When You Need To Fix Computer Errors Easily

September 3rd, 2009

Sometimes you can’t wait to fix your computer errors. Maybe you need your computer for your work. Maybe you learn and participate in live courses. When you use your PC in these ways, you know that repairing computer Errors just can’t wait.

Two Situations Where PC Errors Are Big Problems

Businesses depend on computers for communication and to get work done. Time is money and a slow or malfunctioning computer means that productivity will suffer for every minute that your computer is working at less than its potential. You know that employees can only perform as well as their tools let them, and when their computer is slow and has problems, it makes it difficult to be productive.

Almost every student today have a computer, and each one of them knows how frustrating it is to work with a slow problematic computer. How can you get to online reading materials if your internet won’t load? How can you pass online tests if you receive a barrage of error messages as you try to fill in the correct answers? How can you make your school project if your internet is so slow it can take up to 5 minutes to go from site to site?

In business and in online schooling, you can’t do what you need to if you have PC errors. That is why you need to fix them right away or they get bigger and bigger until you can’t operate your computer.

Registry Cleaner Can Fix Your Computer Fast

Why do you need a registry cleaner? Maybe you have some antivirus program or something similar. You need a registry cleaner for several reasons. You never know if your current software found all the problems on your computer and if it couldn’t find them then it couldn’t even try to fix them.

In addition to that, antivirus software seeks out viruses. It doesn’t seek out for pc errors which are not threats from outside windows. A registry cleaner will only look for computer problems that causes poor performance for your computer.

A registry cleaner does it all. You have an Auto Scan button which will scan all of your computer for any error or threat. You can use Custom Scan if there are specific errors and threats that you want to remove. The Manual Cleanup feature allows you to go through the identified problems step by step and decide what is the action you would like to do with each one.

Of course, you don’t have to go through each one unless you want to. You can just tell the registry cleaner to fix all of them without asking you. You can even create backup files so that if any changes happen that you don’t want, you can restore the registry to its earlier state.

For some people, a faster computer is essential. If you are one of these people then let a registry cleaner keep your computer working as quickly as it should so that you can do the same. Find out more on the best registry cleaners reviews on the net.

Comparison Of The PC Best Registry Cleaners

September 1st, 2009

Are you always having problems with your PC, like slow start-up, slow performance, system crashes, and computer freezing?

If so, you most likely need your PC’s registry cleaning, repairing, and organising!

Why you need a registry cleaner!

Windows operating systems have a component called a registry. As your computer operates it continually creates corrupt files in the Windows registry that adversely affect the performance of your computer. These corrupt files have to be managed continually to keep your computer operating at peak performance.

So you want to know what the top registry cleaners on the market can do for you!

In my opinion the BEST registry cleaners on the market not only clean and repair your registry, but effectively manages it as well, thus preventing future problems.

Here are the top 10 features you should be looking for;

Registry Optimizer
Startup Manager
Backup / Restore Tools
Automatic Scheduler
32 & 64 Bit Compatibility
Increases Performance
Increases Computer Speed
Increases Disk Space
Scan Results Manager
Prevents System Crashes

This is at least, what computer professionals demand.

Further features and benefits you should be looking for from the best registry cleaner are;

Schedule Scans
An Ignore List
Startup Manager
Error Reporting
Automatic Updates
64-Bit Compatibility

And you have to make sure that all file areas will be cleaned. Here are some areas that low end market products skip;

Uninstall Entries
Font Files
Shared DLLs
Help Files
File/Path Reference
History Files
Program Associations
System Drivers
Firewall Rules

Think of registry cleaning as a health check up for your computer. Every time a scheduled scan is run, your computer gets a clean bill of health!

It’s a preventative measure that ensures your computer is always running effectively and efficiently.

If you do not keep the Windows registry in good order, then your computer will run slower and slower until you experience a fatal error, often without warning, and which may render your computer inoperable. At this point the data on your computer may not be recoverable!

This is not scare mongering, these events happen with alarming regularity, especially if your computer is more than a year or two old.

For ease of use, make sure you choose a registry cleaner with a simple Dashboard, from where you control exactly how the software operates. Normally, it takes just a few clicks of the mouse to have these things all setup!

You must PREVENT your computer from ever experiencing a fatal error. The only way to do this, is to install one of the best registry cleaners that have scheduled scanning, so you are then protected automatically from the disaster that could be waiting around the corner!

So if your computer is important to you, install the best registry cleaner, there’s no other answer!

Latest Trends In Total Computer Network Security And Attacks

June 4th, 2009

Securing and operating modern complex computer and network systems is challenging and demanding. The computer security system is an issue of highest apprehension for IT managers or administrators. As the number of organizations becoming Technology Savoy increasing exponentially, IT managers are hard pressed to maintain an organization’s important information, intellectual property, vital data and output. Hackers, virus attacks, spywares, Trojans and other malicious programs are few critical apprehensions for IT manager today because of the massive proportions that they have attained now-a-days.

The internet has brought about tremendous changes in the way organizations and individuals conduct business or behave online, and today it would be unimaginable to operate effectively without the added efficiency and unmatched infrastructure offered by the internet. At the same time, the dark side of the internet has brought about evils like intruder attacks, High-tech frauds and thefts which can cost any organizations excessive amounts of money in damages and lost productivity & efficiency. Thus, organizations need to find methods for achieving their mission goals in using the internet and at the same time keeping their networks secure from potential threats and attacks.

In today’s technology driven age, organizations are increasingly incorporating newer technologies into their infrastructure without understanding how these tools can be exploited to a greater extent against them and that too at a very high price. Malicious forces can divert financial assets, shut down communications among employees or business partners, steal intellectual property, damage an organization’s reputation, or bring an entire business to a halt. As the quest for highly interactive contents which includes online transaction, billing and the organization’s desire to integrate their system with those of other suppliers, vendors, customers and others are at its highest which multiply the risk organization face.

The ultimate messaging, information-sharing and communication infrastructure-The internet, provided by modern technology, when added to the equation the whole new world of enhanced benefit opens up but with increased susceptibility towards security threats. Although network attacks are presumably more serious when they are imposed upon businesses that store sensitive, such as personal medical or financial records, the the results of attacks on any thing range from mildly inconvenient to completely devastating-important data can be lost, privacy can be violated, and several hours, or even days, of network downtime can ensue.

Microsoft Warned Users Of Internet Explorer

January 1st, 2009

Microsoft has warned users of Internet Explorer (IE) 7 that hackers have been attacking a vulnerability in the current version of the web browser that, in a worst-case scenario, could potentially lead to remote takeover of their computer – and the threat is rising rapidly.

Basically, a vulnerability in the browser has left it, according to Microsoft, ‘exploitable’, while the older IE 6 and Beta 2 version of IE 8 are also potentially vulnerable.

On Microsoft’s Threat Research & Response blog, Ziv Mador and Tareq Saade said that “a significant number of users have been affected” by the vulnerability, with an increase of over 50pc in the number of reported attacks since Sunday, 20 December.

“Based on our stats, since the vulnerability has gone public, roughly 0.2pc of users worldwide may have been exposed to websites containing exploits of this latest vulnerability.”

Microsoft is also warning that the new exploits for IE 7 are being hosted on pornography sites.

“Our investigation of these attacks so far has verified that they are not successful against customers who have applied the workarounds listed in this advisory. Additionally, there are mitigations that increase the difficulty of exploiting this vulnerability,” Microsoft said in an official statement.

The workarounds advised by Microsoft are: enable a firewall, apply all software updates and install antivirus and anti-spyware software.

Cyber criminals are becoming more professional

November 25th, 2007

Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) concludes that cyber criminals are increasingly becoming more professional – even commercial – in the development, distribution and use of malicious code and services. While cybercrime continues to be driven by financial gain, cyber criminals are now utilizing more professional attack methods, tools and strategies to conduct malicious activity.“As the global cyber threat continues to grow, it has never been more important to remain vigilant and informed on the evolving threat landscape,” said Dan Lohrmann, chief information security officer, State of Michigan. “Symantec’s Internet Security Threat Report continues to provide us with critical information on the most current online security trends, helping us better protect our state’s infrastructure and citizen information.”

Be very careful about taking advice from websites

October 18th, 2007

Be very careful about taking advice from websites. Unless there’s a section telling you who runs the site and what their expertise is, they may not have any. Some sites, particularly those with teenage forums, can give dangerous advice.

The people trying to help you out are probably well intentioned, but if you’re upset, depressed, having a bad time in a relationship or at school, you need the best help you can get, and that might be face-to-face or from a recognised charity.

Don’t take any medical advice from a website, the best people to help you with worries about your health are your parents and family doctor who know you best.

The website owner should always be happy for your parents or carers to know that you’re contacting them and should never offer to do anything on your behalf without your parents knowing about it.

Tecqhniques to detect dangerous websites

October 18th, 2007

Signature-based detection: Signature-based engines are extremely effective at identifying and blocking known threats. Multiple signature-based engines form an important part of a multi-layered cocktail approach to real time scanning.

However, signature-based malware detection only works for known malware. It is not useful for new threats. Additionally, in order to be effective signatures must be delivered quickly and propagated — a time consuming task.

Heuristics: Using a rule of thumb to detect variants of known malware is an effective tool in the fight against malware. However, if your heuristics are too aggressive, you experience false positives. Also, heuristics are designed to increase the probability of detecting something that is similar to something that you have seen before. This means that a heuristic won’t detect completely novel malware.

Code Analysis: The behavior of the code can be determined by modeling program logic, behavioral rules, and contextual system call analysis techniques that suggest good or bad intentions.

Code reputation: Unlike URLs whose content can change, a binary can, in fact, have a reputation based on historical analysis. “Good” code can be treated differently than unknown or bad code.

URL Reputation: URL reputation is derived by examining parameters such as IP address information, country of the web server, history and age of the URL, domain registration information, network owner information, URL categorization information, and types of content present.

New computer threat on the horizon

June 7th, 2007

In the world of computers, where many of us dwell, there is nothing more disrupting than hearing that there is a new computer threat on the horizon just waiting to find its way onto our systems. In the latest of a never ending line of attacks we have been most recently faced with a virus which is intruded via a WMF, otherwise known as a Windows Meta file.

So What’s the Issue?
The main issue that makes this virus so much different than others is the fact that you did not have to open or download anything. This particular computer threat is able to infect a computer by merely having the user view an image via an email, webpage or any other graphically inclined media. Since this is the case, the public outcry was large and it caused Microsoft to release the patch earlier than they had planned.

For those who have not updated yet, the patch can be found on the Microsoft Update webpage. Although at this point in time it’s a safe assumption that if you are using Microsoft Automatic Update the patch has already been installed on your computer.

However, if you’re not sure whether or not you’ve thwarted this computer threat, the Microsoft patch can be found here.

While you’re at it, you will probably want to download the latest version of FireFox. While it won’t provide you with the fix for this virus, it will offer you added security while you surf the Web.

Many of us have had first-hand encounters with spyware, viruses, worms and other malicious programs and sensibly made the decision to take appropriate measures to protect ourselves. Malware is so widespread now that even those lucky few who have not had an infection should seriously consider implementing Internet security measures. You need something reliable that encompasses as many risk areas as possible and will keep you safe online without getting in your way.
But where should you focus your search for that solution – antivirus, firewall, security suite or something else? That’s our main focus in this article – how to select the best combination of tools to address today’s threats. It’s designed to help you make an educated choice by showing you, through short video demonstrations and simple descriptions, how today’s malware infections work and why this should guide your decision-making process.
